Our Mooring at Trevor Basin on the Llangollen Canal

Our mooring in Trevor Basin meant no satellite signal so note the old aerial out again, strong signal never the less.

Hi.
Just happened upon your site a few days ago, and just had to say your trip gives the dream a renewed hope. Have had two canal holidays, one in mid 80s from Alvechurch, and the second 10 yrs ago we picked up an AngloWelsh boat from Trevor. Seeing your pictures moored there... just magic. Friends think I am a bit of a nut...What's a narrowboat? Been the dream to get back there when we retire, which can't be soon enough, and do just what you are. The costs of fuel, and the exchange rate blowing out the cost of boats made it seem just wishful thinking, but seeing you doing it... might just make it happen.
Keep enjoying yourselves, and keep up the Blog. You're giving a fellow enthusiast long distance encouragement.

Hi Frank
If we can do it, you can do it. You just need to set your goal and work towards it. I'm sure people thought us mad too but we proved it can be done. The NZ$ is worse than the AU$ too remember. Good luck with your dream.
