Steady Progress.

7 Locks, 1 Mile. Now moored Johnsons hillock Top Lock Leeds and Liverpool Canal

After a stroll into town to get my spare parts we finally set off about 10.45am. There were no other boats to lock up with this morning but we did encounter some south bound boats which made things easier. The higher we get the more spectacular the scenery becomes.

Once at the top lock we filled up with water and took advantage of the shower block before crossing to the 48 hour moorings opposite. It was a wise decision because we had no sooner tied up when it started to rain.

Sorry no photographs again today the photographer was busy locking.

1782 locks, 3663½  miles, 66 tunnels, 83 swing bridges and 53 lift bridges since Nov 2006
