Planning our journey from Brighton to Winchester we found that it wouldn’t be too far out of our way to go via Godalming on the River Wey. We knew our old travelling buddies were moored at the end of the navigation and as it’s been nearly a year since we last saw them we thought it would be nice to meet up again.
Travelling buddies Derek & Carrie with grandson Aden. Moored at the end of the Wey Navigation.
At Godalming we were lucky that we were able to park right next to the river where the horse float for the horse drawn barge normally parks. As the horse drawn barge doesn’t commence until Easter it wasn’t a problem. It was good to spend several hours with Derek, Carrie and grandson Aden talking over our last years activities during lunch, (thanks' for lunch Carrie). Naturally we gave Derek and Carrie the guided tour over Gypsy Rover Mk IV to show them what we had replaced Mk III with.
A total of 1119 miles, since 5 March 2011
