Easy going.

5 Locks, 3 Miles 2 swing bridges. Now moored at Thatcham.
517 locks, 622½ miles, 18 Tunnels, 31 swing bridges and 9 lift bridges since Nov 2006

Yesterday was just a retail therapy day for the girls and odd job day for the guys.
Today we crossed the canal to Greenham boat services opposite to pick up a new calor gas tank as 1 of our tanks ran out yesterday. After that it was off to Thatcham.
The river Kennet is now more manageable but the flow is such that we only need to have the engine on tick over and still maintain a reasonably fast pace. Upon arrival at Thatcham we found mooring a lot easier than on our earlier visit.

After lunch Dot, Christina and I walked into town to have a look around unfortunately we took the long way so by the time we got back to the boats we were exhausted and in need of a cuppa followed by a siesta.
