Boat alterations.

Now moored at below Bridge 17 Hinckley, on the Ashby Canal

This morning we moved the boat about 500 yards below bridge 17 as our 48 hours were up on the Trinity marina moorings. After lunch we met up with John from n/b Helen Louise who incidentally hails from Blenheim New Zealand, and he gave us a lift into Nuneaton as Dot had some shopping to do and I had to return to the hospital in Coventry to get de-wired.

While I waited for the 1st bus I had enough time to go and check out these chairs that Dot bought yesterday. Verdict, very comfortable. Of course this means that I will have to remove the seating in the lounge and hopefully build another cabinet with the surplus timber. We are not quite sure what to do with the surplus foam seating but I'm sure we will find a good home for them. We will still have a spare bed for visitors by using the Pullman dinette.

894 locks, 1266 ½  miles, 38 Tunnels, 41 swing bridges and 19 lift bridges since Nov 2006
