A Good workout.

0 locks and 4½ miles. Now moored at Bridge 3 , Ashby Canal

We were up bright and early this morning as John was picking us up at 8.30am to take us by car into Nuneaton to catch yet another bus into Coventry. I had an appointment with a treadmill to undergo further ECG monitoring at 10.30. The test only lasted about 20 minutes but I certainly got a sweat up and managed to complete the test uninterrupted.

We were very lucky with the timing of everything because after we left the hospital we only had to wait 10 minutes for the bus back to Nuneaton where we hopped straight off one bus onto the other and we were back on the boat by 12.30.

As the weather was threatening to turn sour we decided to move straight away and lessen the distance we need to travel tomorrow. By the time we got here it was starting to get cold so we moored up for the night. As it has been probably one of the busiest days we have had for a long time we are both feeling a little weary tonight.

894 locks, 1270½ miles, 38 Tunnels, 41 swing bridges and 19 lift bridges since Nov 2006
