We had a quiet night at the Skegness sea front and at 10.30 our friends Polly and Terry arrived to take us on a tour of Skegness and a delightful lunch at a restaurant overlooking the sea.

It was amazing to see all the caravan parks with all their row’s of permanent vans as far as the eye could see where holiday maker’s come to spend their summer holidays. Along with the Butlin’s holiday camp with its many chalets and apartments and the huge fairground to keep the campers happy. They reckon that during the Summer months the population here grows about 10 times the normal.

After lunch we returned to the Motorhome to move it to the Caravan Club CL site at Burgh Le Marsh which is close to where Polly and Terry live. We parked the van up and Terry took us to their bungalow for afternoon tea. We had a thoroughly enjoyable day and to top it off Polly gave us a framed watercolour painting of the cobbled street up to Lincoln Cathedral that she had painted.

Terry dropped us back to the van about 5pm as I had to check why the waste water tank wasn’t holding water. The fault was easily found, the plastic pipe from the tank to the drain cock had been smashed by presumably a stone or rock on our travels so I now need a plumber or an Autotrail dealer to repair it.
