The Holiday comes to an End

After our Island tour on the Wednesday the last few days in Majorca were a bit of an anticlimax. We ventured down to the beach and had a paddle in the Mediterranean. Due to a lack of forward planning we missed out on the cruise of the glass bottom boat as we were too late one day and the following day was cancelled due to unsuitable weather conditions. Ah well, Cest la Vie.

Saturday we flew back to Gatwick and due to the late arrival time we were limited as to our options of getting to Wimbledon. We were doing well until the train public address system announced next stop Clapham Junction, we got off when it stopped only to find it wasn’t Clapham Junction and that was the last train. B****r.

After a bus, a tram and another bus we eventually reached our destination gasping for a cuppa. We stayed at Wimbledon for the long week-end where Tracey had a few chores lined up for me that she was unable to do herself. Dad’s do have some use’s in life after all! Tuesday afternoon and we were back on the trains heading back to Stafford and eventually the boat at Great Haywood.

Country living Spanish style.

Well its not every day that you get a chance to paddle in the Mediterranean is it?

missing the flat bottomed boat trip will give you an excuse to go back again.
