Largs.

35.1 Miles. Now at South Whittlieburn Farm CL site near Largs.

What has happened to Summer? We were having better weather back in April than what we are experiencing now. This morning, it was a showery start to the day but we managed to get away from camp before the heavy rain arrived. We stopped off at a convenient Tesco Supermarket for food and diesel, that latter was the cheapest (£1.35.9 per litre) we have had since we set off back in March. While in the store there must have been a down pour because when we returned to the motorhome the car park was awash with water and it was still raining lightly.

It was a relatively straight forward run to our present camp site which is way out in the country. We are a bit annoyed that in the Caravan Club directory it states PTA which is supposed to be Public Transport within a mile. The bus turning point on the outskirts of town is at least 2 miles away. This is the third camp where we have struck this so I think we will need to write to the Caravan Club about this matter. Due to the lack of buses we will not be visiting anywhere within the next couple of days.

Other than the transport problem the camp is pretty good for a Certified Location.

A total of 2799 miles, since 5 March 2011
