Geraldine Peski Lodge

IMG_0661

After two days sitting out the wet weather in Ashburton with Robbie (CAP 7768), we opted to move on to Geraldine today.  Robbie had asked if we would like to stay another night due to the wet weather, (Over 100ml’s overnight apparently) and have morning tea with him again. On Sunday we were invited into his home for morning tea with homemade baking and we spent an interesting hour or so before getting ready for our afternoon visitor’s. Brenda and John had visited us in Christchurch when we were there 5 years ago, but were unable to catch up while in Christchurch this year so they decided to take a Sunday drive and catch up with us in Ashburton. Brenda and I go back to my childhood days when we were neighbours and believe it or not she can still remember my birthday. Much better memory than mine.

We had managed to get a couple of necessities for our new motorhome at Ashburton RV, the Autotrail/Tribute Dealer. Just what we needed and great service also.

We have been watching the weather closely and if the weather man is correct we should be lined up for lovely weather later in the week when we plan to visit Mt Cook.
