0 Locks, 4 Miles. Now moored at Heatons Bridge, Pinfold.
Just a short cruise was planned for today as we don’t normally cruise on the weekends but the unpredictable weather is causing us to rethink this policy. We are making the most of the fine weather for cruising and staying put when it is inclement.
Here we are in August and there is still no sign of a summer so I think we are just going to have to persevere regardless. Even the weather forecast team on the TV are starting to cop some flak about the weather now.
We stopped at Red Lion Caravan centre for diesel which was £1.05 propulsion and 65p heating but he will sell it all at the lower price if you sign a declaration form. We had a look at the motorhomes he had for sale in his yard and had a chat to him about a boat/motor home deal when it comes time for us to sell Gypsy Rover. He said that he would consider the matter and for us to contact him closer to the time.
1734 locks, 3622 miles, 66 Tunnels, 71 swing bridges and 53 lift bridges since Nov 2006

I'm confident of nice weather in September, when we're on Debdale!
Dream on or start praying perhaps. Scenery up north is worth seeing wet or fine.

We saw you at Heatons Bridge, we were just setting off to go to Liverpool. Sounds like you had a good time in the Pool of Life!
We had a fantastic time in Liverpool, sorry we missed you yesterday, we may have been in the pub.
